The passing of Amendment 2 on November 6, 2018, created a whole new series of questions for employers as they navigate the interplay of Amendment 2 with federal and state employment laws. This presentation will provide an overview of Amendment 2 and then examine the treatment of medical marijuana – including safe harbors and suggestions on how to proceed – in the context of:
- The Americans with Disabilities Act
- Missouri Human Rights Act
- Section 285.575 RSMo, At-Will Employment Doctrine
- Section 287.120, Unemployment Compensation & Workers’ Compensation
